Pearls

First Assembly has a very distinctive, Elite group of ladies.  They are 65 years and older and known as the “Pearls”.   The  dictionary describes a pearl as a “...lustrous concretion formed  of concentric layers...” and something that is “very choice or  precious” and that perfectly describes the “Pearls” of First Assembly of God. They are ladies who are made up of many layers - layers of age, yes, but also layers of knowledge, layers of wisdom, layers of experience, layers of love. These ladies have so much to give and they give it freely. What a blessing they are.

These ladies are so much fun and much younger than their actual years, (the sponsors even have a hard time keeping up with them).  

We have a quarterly luncheon – usually Valentines, Mothers Day, the month of August, and Christmas.  Then, we have two outings during the year.  In April we went about 85 miles away to a country home where we went fishing and in the afternoon had an Easter egg hunt.  This October, we will be taking a trip to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for five days. 

Our Times together are so enjoyable and we look forward with enthusiasm, to each  scheduled event.  Though we are different, we share so many bonds, in that we love the Lord, we love the time we have together and we love the sisterhood we share as a group.
