From the August 2004 Newsletter of Scott & Denise Matthes and Family, Missionaries to Russia... "Praise the Lord!!! Our dream has indeed become reality!!! After years of God preparing us to go to Russia, we have finally arrived. We left Montgomery on an Evangel Temple church van with a trailer filled with 17 trunks, five over-stuffed carry-on bags, three backpacks, two duffle bags, one cooler, one overflowing tote bag, and a laptop computer. And it all made it to Moscow and then to Krasnodar! Hallelujah!!! ... Not only have we made it to Russia, we now have a place we call home. After 11 nights in temporary lodging in Krasnodar, we have at last settled into what is our new home. God has truly met our need..."
From the August 2004 Newsletter of Mason & Yvonne Corwin, Youth Campus Missionaries to the University of South Alabama... "Where has it gone? We have been so busy this Summer. Chi Alpha has continued full force through the Summer and Mason, Bethany and I have traveled to Atlanta, Michigan, Florida and back to Alabama. Mason has had some awesome opportunities to minister in various places. While we traveled doing support raising, retreats, and revivals, our Missionary Aides held down the homefront with excellence. Our weekly meetings continue to grow as well as our small groups that meet weekly. We are looking forward to a new semester and school year at Chi Alpha at the University of South Alabama. We are currently working on a Website for our Chi Alpha group so you will soon be able to log on and see what your prayer and financial support is doing here in Alabama. As Chi Alpha missionaries, we have a heart for this generation and their spiritual well being. We firmly believe that if they experience God in all of His glory now, then they will be much stronger and more grounded in the future to handle all life has for them. On that note, Mason had a special opportunity to speak at Brooksville Assembly of God' Youth Revival July 25-28. God showed up! We saw approximately 60 youth saved, 20 filled with the Holy Spirit, many delivered and touched by His presence. It was so refreshing to see these young people so open to a move of God..."
